AI is optional and stays off until you turn it on. When you ask a question, Care Chronicles sends your question, a compact catalogue of permitted records, and selected relevant excerpts to OpenAI. If AI is on and a voice memo needs a transcript, the recording is sent to OpenAI for transcription. Responses API storage is off, but OpenAI’s default abuse-monitoring logs may keep API data for up to 30 days. OpenAI says API data is not used for training unless the API customer opts in.
